Opened on March 29, 1973, by founder Bill Reid with a capacity of 1,800 people.Location: Situated at 1 Havelock Square (Havelock Street) in the town centre, above the shopping area.
Known for its unique revolving central bar designed to look like a railway wheel, honoring Swindon's locomotive heritage.
Hosted early gigs for major rock and punk acts in the 1970s and 1980s, including Blondie, Iron Maiden, The Jam, and Talking Heads.
Evolved into a prominent dance and nightclub venue through the '80s, '90s, and early 2000s before being sold in 2007. It later operated as Liquid & Envy and saw a brief, unsuccessful revival attempt in 2013.
